What is Body Art?
Body art is art made on, with, or consisting of, the human body. The most common forms of body art are tattoos and body piercings. Other types include scarification, branding, subdermal implants, scalpelling, shaping (for example tight-lacing of corsets), full-body tattoo, and body painting.
Body art is also a sub-category of performance art, in which artists use or abuse their own bodies to make their particular statements. More extreme body art can involve mutilation or pushing the body to its physical limits.
In more recent times, the body has become a subject of a much broader discussion and treatment than can be reduced to body art in its common understanding. Important strategies that question the human body are implants, body in symbiosis with the new technologies, virtual bodies, among others.

Vito Acconci once documented, through photos and text, his daily exercise routine of stepping on and off a chair for as long as possible over several months. Acconci also performed Following Piece, in which he followed randomly chosen New Yorkers.
In France, body art was termed art corporel and practised by such artists as Michel Journiac and Gina Pane. In Italy in the 1980s, one of the famous artists in the movement was Ketty La Rocca.
Marina Abramović performed Rhythm 0 in 1974. In the piece, the audience was given instructions to use on Abramović’s body an array of 72 provided instruments of pain and pleasure, including knives, feathers, and a loaded pistol. Audience members cut her, pressed thorns into her belly, applied lipstick to her, and removed her clothes. The performance ended after six hours, when someone held the loaded pistol up to Abramović’s head and a scuffle broke out.
Photographer Spencer Tunick is well known for conducting photo shoots which gather large numbers of naked people at public locations around the world. Artists whose works have evolved with more directed personal mythologies include Rebecca Horn, Youri Messen-Jaschin, Javier Perez, and Jana Sterbak. Body art can also be expressed via writing rather than painting.

What paint should I use for Body Art llc?
Does that stop you face painting? No! I had no artistic background before I trained as a hair and makeup artist, which is where I started face and body painting. I’ve found that actually my drawing has improved hugely since I’ve been body painting, and I understand so much more about shade and light, we all have to start somewhere! Some of my favorite pieces have been really really simple and really fun to paint, and require zero drawing skills. The picture below was one of my first body paints. It was the photographer’s idea, and all we did was take Mehron metallic silver powder, mix it with baby oil and cover our model. We got some photo’s at this stage before literally throwing handfuls of Holi paint powder at her. Because we had mixed the Mehron powder with oil and not mixing liquid (because it would give a shinier result), the powder paint was constantly moving, and no two photos are the same, which was awesome! We then also dribbled some of the silver paint back over the powder paint to break up the solid blocks of color. It was unbelievably simple, but so much fun and still one of my favorite pieces.
So here we suggest good body art paint for you. This paint is suggested by our top and best body art surgeons.

The Upsides and Downsides Of Body Art LLC
Many celebrities wear tattoos like Angelina Jolie, David Draiman of Disturbed, Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, and so many others. It is safe to say that body art is not only more accepted, but appreciated.
Let’s look at the pros and cons of body art in general:
Problems Of Body ArtThe fact of the matter is that everyone has a way to express themselves. Some people do it with a funky hairstyle, and others do it through the clothing that they wear. It is a known fact that people can only express themselves in ways that words cannot. And, the best way to really be expressive is through the tattoos you can wear on your body. Tattoos are popular for this one reason alone- you are allowed to really show everyone what you care about and who you are.
In fact, many people who suffer from mental illnesses have tattoos of the semicolon. That represents that despite their challenges with mental illness, they are continuing to live their lives the best way possible.
However, the one thing to keep in mind is if you want to have a tattoo of something that you are passionate about, then the first thing to think about is whether you will be passionate about the same thing in a decade from now. If you are unsure, then it is best to not get a tattoo that represents that thing. That is why it is also not a good idea to have a lover’s name or initials tattooed because what if the relationship does not last?
That said, even though there are positive aspects to body art, there are also disadvantages as well that should be discussed.
The Cons Of Body ArtYou already know that tattoos are painful to get, and are also permanent. However, even so, it can be removable. But for that to happen, you will have to end up facing laser tattoo removal pain which is not pleasant either.
And aside from that, if you end up getting a tattoo and you have a bad reaction from it, then it can put your health at risk. You may have a severe allergy to tattoo ink without even realizing it. Other diseases can be spread from the needles that are being used for tattoos. Even though only using sterilized needles is the law- some tattoo artists may not abide by the law.
That said, if you really want to get a tattoo, then you will want to make sure that you do the following.
- Go to an allergist. You will want to find out if you are allergic to any kind of tattoo ink. It is better to find out beforehand before ending up with an unpleasant surprise when you break out into hives or end up having a much worse reaction.
- Find the most reputable artist in your area. Don’t go to the first tattoo artist that you find online. Do your homework and ask questions about the most recommended artist in the city. And remember, a good quality tattoo artist will only use the best materials and will only use safe and sterilized needles.
